Life, Lab, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Name:

I love cross-stitching, I would do it all day long if I didn't have to do silly things like work and clean house. My dream job? To have own my very own stitchy store w/ my best friend so we can sell our hand-dyed fabbies that we haven't started working on yet!

Night Time Quickie

Howdy everyone. Just trying to make myself sleepy enough to actually fall asleep without having to stare at the clock for half an hour, so I thought I would check in with you. I will be extra careful with my grammar, seeing as it is now being monitored.

Not too much going on here. Travis is excited to get his cast off this coming Tuesday. I too am excited in that he will finally be able to wash his hand. Eww, gross. He will also no longer have the excuse 'I can't do that, I have a cast on.' :-) We are hoping things will go well, and that his finger has healed, otherwise he'll be spending some time in a splint. Good times. On the bright side, a lot of his students have signed his cast, and I think that makes him feel really great about his job. I think those kids really love him.

Excitement in the rest of the family this week. Travis's mom Debbie didn't want to be left out, so now she is sporting a bright green cast on her left leg. She broke her leg Monday, right near the ankle, so they are watching it closely to see if surgery will be needed. I guess she'll be spending Sunday watching the washers tournament instead of competing. But she'll be in good company, seeing that Travis's grandpa is also in a cast from ankle surgery. They say these things always come in threes, so I'm hoping that this takes care of our cast quota for this year. ;-)

Lab is going well, I'm slowly but surely beating back the frontiers of science, one bacteria at a time. Okay, now that you've had your laugh for the day I can feel it's alright to go to bed now. Hoping to get my webshots site updated this weekend, I'll have plenty of time Sunday. Travis will be taking his nephew to a Cardinals game in St. Louis. I am a bit jealous, don't think I'll get to see a game in their last season at Busch stadium, but I am so happy that Travis will get some guy time with Andrew.

Well, I am getting a bit drowsy now, and the cats are trying their hardest to type a message to you all. Maybe I could start a new blog, Through a Cat's Eye, and just let the cats spill out all the words of wisdom that are floating around in their little kitty heads. Love you all bunches, and glad to see that Steve has finally found a real job. You go Steve, keep up the good work. And Rosie, hope you keep enjoying your new job and that the stress level will go down soon (so you can start a blog of your own). Lots of love.

I am not sure about the other comment, but sounds like your weekend was as exciting as mine and Gregs. I hope Travis gets his cast off. Love you! Rose
