Life, Lab, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Name:

I love cross-stitching, I would do it all day long if I didn't have to do silly things like work and clean house. My dream job? To have own my very own stitchy store w/ my best friend so we can sell our hand-dyed fabbies that we haven't started working on yet!

Long Time No Write

Hi everyone! Hope no one thought that I had forgotten about them, although I have been under fire from a certain seester's significant other. I won't name any names, but Tambli had better keep him under control. :-)

Been super busy, lots of stuff going on with work, went on vacation to visit those of us whom dwell in Virginia, getting Travis back into the swing of things for school, and taking care him in his invalid state. I am sure some of you know, but he just so happened to crush his finger while at work, and has been in a cast for two weeks now. Only two left to go!! And he's milking it for all he's worth too. Can't do the dishes, because his cast will get wet. Can't mow the lawn, cause his cast will get sweaty and dirty and he can't wash it because it can't get wet. Likely excuses, huh? In all honesty, he's been a real trooper. It's been tough on him, being that he's fiercely independent, and not being able to tie his shoelaces has been a bit tough. Love him lots, and I am happy to do whatever will make this a bit easier on him. We're just thankful that his injury wasn't worse, it was just his index finger, and it didn't require any pins.

So Travis is back in school, he loves his new students, and pre-calc is going to be so much fun for him. His brother Brandon got an administrative internship, so he's doing that this year, and his sister Gretchen also got a teaching job in St. Louis, so they are all teaching now. It's too cute!

Nothing much work-wise has changed for me, I don't take classes anymore, so it's just research, research, research! It's all going pretty well, I am enjoying it, so that's all I can really ask I guess.

The kitties are doing fabulous, they are much better about getting on the countertops now, so they are running around all day now. Fawkes is super lovey, and Dante is his funny quirky self as always.

I am working on getting my webshots albums set up, right now I only have my cross-stitch stuff up. But soon I want to get the kitty album set up, as well as other fun stuff for all to view. I've put the link up for you all, and will keep it there. Hopefully I will eventually get mom to set one up as well, then she can be responsible for pics (she took the prom pics back). Hope you'll all enjoy!

Love you all bunches, can't wait to see those of you who will be in KC for the big day this weekend! Have a great Labor Day Holiday!!

I'm getting this one in while Tambli is asleep.

I just wanted you to be the first to hear the good news. I got a new, real job! I'm what they call a Grammar Patrolman. I can't go into many details now, but I just thought you'd like to know that much.

Well, I have to go now.

From those of us "WHO" dwell in California, goodnight.

Hey, great to finally hear from you. I would say though that you might want to watch out for that ominous sound grammar patrolman. I hope to see you this weekend! Rose
