Summer is Here!
Hello everyone!
Wow, I thought we were busy a few months ago! Now we hardly have time to sit down for a few minutes and we are supposed to be on summer vacation. There is just so much to do around the house to keep it looking nice, and now with the added yard work there just aren't enough hours in the day. Travis is doing all of the maintenance work, and I am doing all of the aesthetic work. Well, theoretically. But it will get done soon, hopefully. Anyways, the house will hopefully look very nice and much more our own when we get finished with the basics this year. We are going to leave the finishing touches for another summer probably.
Travis will be busy with graduation tonight, and he is busy slaving away in the yard this afternoon. Last night he was able to fix our air conditioning (yeah!!!), and he and Dad got our garage door fixed. That was fun. It decided it wasn't going to close Wednesday morning, so we have been without a garage for a couple of days. Travis was able to close it enough that someone wouldn't be able to get in, so it was an adventure for us all.
Of course it looks as though Travis has been busy slaving away whilst I write up our adventures to keep you all posted. If only that were at least feasible. :-) I have been very busy in lab, I don't really get a summer break. And I have renewed my commitment to lab work and putting in the effort to get out of here in the next 2 1/2- 3 years. This means more money for us sooner, but it also means a lot more late nights and weekends spent in the lab. But I think it's what is best for us, and if things go well we can move on sooner. So really I am working right now, I just have a bunch of short incubation times that I can sit down and jot a bit on what's going on.
I must be going now so that I can get moving on my experiment, we love you all bunches and hope to hear more from you all in the future. Please feel free to comment, we'll be able to read them and so will everyone else. It could help us all keep in touch a bit more. Later!
