Another Day in Columbia MO
Hola everyone! The day is slowly but surely passing me by here in exciting Columbia Missouri. Can't ever seem to do anything interesting, which must make this an exciting blog for you all to visit. :-)
To those still clamoring for prom pics, I am working on it [Rosie ;-)], mom just got me the CD last Saturday. And I have other pics to post as well, I think.
Travis's friend Norvell was in from LA this week for Boys State. We got to spend some time with him Tuesday night when he got here. Mmmm...Shakespeare's Pizza. It is so funny! Travis and I hardly ever eat there, but whenever old college buddies come back in town, guess where we end up eating? It's good though. Norvell rented a convertible PT Cruiser to travel in style, so we went driving around campus with a cool breeze in my hair (the guys don't really have any), and Norvell was amazed at the way campus has changed in the past couple of years. There are new dorms going up all over the place, and it is looking nice. Well, it will look nice eventually, once all the construction equipment is gone and the grass grows. :-)
Last night we made an unexpected last minute trek to KC to see Cayton. Norvell was actually wanting to go to KC, and Brandon and Brandi were nice enough to let us crash in at the last minute. Cayton is so amazingly beautiful, I can hardly stand it!!! And he just so happens to have impeccable taste. When Travis held him he started to cry. But Auntie Tara was able to feed him and hold him for a nap before it was off to bed for him. What can I say, he can probably sense the mischievousness emanating from Travis's pores. :-)
Speaking of my fantabulous husband, he is busy working today. As usual. So I am here in lab working and writing to all of you. He has been very busy this past week though. His action research project is due on Monday. This is a research project he must complete for his master's degree. So he has been busy working on that, and now he is 99% done. Yeah!!!!!! All in all I believe it ended up being about 60 pages, not including all of the student work he still has to put in. You go Pookie!!
Well, I am trying to get working on some new cross-stitch projects. Cayton's birth announcement kindled a flame, and my friend Bethany has done her darnedest to keep it burning. And it has worked! If anyone is interested in checking out some of the stuff I am looking at, check out Mirabilia designs, as well as Lavender and Lace. They both have web sites, and are actually mother and daughter designers. The designs are beautiful, and I can only hope I will be able to do them justice. Soon I will probably have a stitching blog up, and a site where I will post my work for the members of the message board that have been so much help to me to get this started. Travis thinks this makes me a dork, but in reality there is so much more that goes into my dorkiness that it is far too complicated to discuss here.
Hope this finds you all well. Tamara, watch out for those earthquakes. I'll mail you about the crazy prediction I heard about them. Rosie, hope you are still doing well, glad everything turned out alright. Again, comment away on this blog, I want to have input from you all! Love you bunches!!!!
