Life, Lab, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Name:

I love cross-stitching, I would do it all day long if I didn't have to do silly things like work and clean house. My dream job? To have own my very own stitchy store w/ my best friend so we can sell our hand-dyed fabbies that we haven't started working on yet!

Life Sciences Week

Well, Life Sciences Week is almost over, and I am quite happy about that. Yesterday I presented my poster, it was kind of depressing. The only people who stopped by were those from class because we are going to be tested on them on the final. At least they were nice enough to act mildly interested. :-) Oh yeah, and a woman from the League of Women Voters stopped by. I guess they were getting a tour, and she stopped by to ask how I got into science and such. That was interesting, and she was very nice. I didn't get a lot of time to go around and see all the vendors, so I didn't get as much free stuff as I was hoping. But I did get a shirt, so that is always good.

The kitties are being very ornery this week. Apparently they now own the countertops when we're not there, and they like my plants. I am going to try and remember to get some of that pet grass to see if that will keep them out before they kill my already struggling plants. My thumb may be many things, but green it is not. Fortunately it is much easier to take care of animals, so the cats are doing pretty well. Dante is still kind of runty, but he's slowly catching up. Fawkes seems to have slowed down the growing for a bit now, but they are still just kittens, so we'll see how they look this time next year. I will probably have two giant cats running around the house.

Our computer crashed, stupid spy-ware, so I am updating from work today. (Don't worry, science is being done, I am typing during incubation periods :-)) Travis will be taking it in this weekend and having a guy at work fix it. I guess Mom's computer will be keeping ours company. Then maybe all internet communtication will be back to normal, and much more efficient than it seems to be right now.

Tamara is off to Seattle to visit a school and see what it's like, I hope she lets us all know how she likes it. I always wanted to live in Seattle, I love rain. Tia is busy working at Steak n Shake, it is too adorable. She will also be going to her first prom at the beginning of May. I will be sure to get pics to put up here for everyone, even though it makes me feel really old. She's going with a boy I used to baby-sit!

Well, half of you probably haven't made it this far because I am just rambling. Our lives are so exciting, it's hard not to go on for pages and pages. Love you all and take care.
