Another Week Gone By
Hello everyone!
Another week has gone by, and it was busy busy. Life Sciences week is over, and it was loads of fun as usual. Funny thing though, I won a door prize from the Imaging Core on campus. Not sure what I will do with a $100 credit, but I am sure that I will be able to think of something. Nothing too exciting in lab, had some stuff work and some stuff not work. Fortunately the less work intensive stuff was what didn't work, so it won't be such a pain to redo. Always looking for that silver lining!
Travis and I should have our computer up and running soon, I am on the laptop right now. Poor pookie spent a few hours last night transfering all of our files onto the laptop 200MB at a time. Fortunately though we were able to back everything up before we reformatted the hard drive, so we didn't lose any pictures. Travis is a computer genius, and I am lucky for that because otherwise I think my computer would crash on a regular basis.
Alan and Kathleen's wedding is coming up next weekend, so we'll be in KC for the weekend. The time has gone by so fast it is amazing. And in just a couple of weeks will be graduations, our friend Kara is graduating from Law School. I am happy for her, but sad cause she'll be going back to KC for a master's. At least it won't be too far.
Well, I'll keep this short, we're headed out for grocery shopping, and then some Shake's frozen custard. I think we deserve it for all of the hard work we've been putting in for spring cleaning and yard work. Can't wait to get some tomatoes planted, and get a cute garden out front (even though Travis want's to pave over it). Now all we need is to rip up that ugly bush from in front of the house, and I think we'll be set pretty well for this year. Love you all, talk to you later.
